The Claymore team of
clothing professionals
strives to create the perfect
environment for you to
invest wisely and
tastefully in fine clothing.
Bob Benkert CEO & Merchandise Manager
One of the original founders and owner of
of the Claymore Shop, with over 40 years
of selling and buying menswear, with the
ability to anticipate and even spark off a
sartorial trend. In 1967, he was among the
first to introduce the genius of Ralph Lauren
to his customers with the designer's original
neckwear line. If there's something special
you want for your wardrobe, just ask...
he'll find it!f
Al Skiba Vice President & Sales Manager
With over 40 years of working in the clothing
business in sales, as a manager and owner of his own men's store, Al has a wealth
of knowledge when it comes to menswear.
He joined the Claymore team in 1981 as
manager of sales, eventually becoming
a vice-president and partner. If there is
one person who personifies true friendship,
it's Al Skiba - there isn't anything he
wouldn't do for you.
Mike Alexanian Master Tailor & Sales
Mike comes from a family of tailors; with
over 40 years of experience he us more
than able to service all your tailoring needs.
His goal is to ensure you always bring home
a perfect fit. Turnaround time is generally
one week - but Mike's been known to have
tailoring done in an hour or less when
neccessary.
Charley Marcuse Sales & Buying Assistant
In 1988, Charley began working part-time
at the Claymore while still in high school.
He started out in stock, then worked his
way up to full time sales and assisting
in buying. He is the ultimate split
personality. By day, he works at the store;
by night, he is the singing hot dog vendor
for the Tiger's games at Comerica Park.
Always interesting, Charley has a passion
for fine clothing that's far beyond his years.
Cam Schea Sales Associate
When Cam came to the Claymore while
attending Seaholm High School, Al, Bob and
Mike immediately took him under their
wings. He now enjoys working with clothing
as much as he enjoys wearing it.
He appreciates time spent with those he
calls "the friends of the shop". When not
at the shop, you're likely to find him at
Oakland University where he is majoring
in finance.
Alison Couzens Manager, Harbor Springs
Now, in her second year at the Claymore,
Allison brings both expertise and energy
to the shop. With four years in retail and
a dgree in Communication and Sales from
Michigan State University, she truly
understands the meaning of personal
service. Just ask her customers! Her
hobbies include skiing, boating, design
rowing - and believe it or not - merchandising!
She loves combining old favorites and fresh
pieces to create classic, timeless style.
